Dave Dentinger is a staff attorney in The Law firm of Shihab & Associates. He has over 14 years of experience as an attorney. Dave began practicing immigration law in 1997 with experience in permanent residence cases based on family, employment, asylum and refugee, as well as visitor visas for professional workers, students, business visitors, tourist visitors, and foreign national fiancés and spouses of U.S. citizens. He has experience in petitions for citizenship by naturalization, removal of conditions on permanent residence, and deportation/removal defense.
He has extensive experience obtaining national interest waivers for employment based second preference immigration for those foreign nationals with advanced degrees or exceptional ability whose employment in the U.S. is considered to be in the national interest of the United States. He has prepared nonimmigrant visas for H-1B professionals, TN visas for NAFTA professionals, L-1 intra-company transfers, O-1 extraordinary ability aliens, and EB-5 and E-2 investors.
He also has seven years of experience practicing bankruptcy law. He has prepared and filed thousands of Chapter 7 bankruptcy petitions, and he has successfully represented hundreds of debtors at bankruptcy hearings including meetings of creditors, adversary proceedings, trustee/creditor examinations, and litigation.
